Day 1: Ambon Airport – Nusa Laut
First day of the cruise

Upon arrival at Ambon Airport, you are met by your driver and taken to Teluhu Harbor. You board your Phinisi yacht and after a brief introduction to the boat, crew and safety procedures, you set sail for Nusa Laut. On the way there is a stop at Mamala Island for a check dive or snorkeling. The yacht then heads east to Nusa Laut, where you anchor for the night.

Day 2: Nusa Laut
Amazing diving/ snorkeling in Nusa Laut

Today you have the opportunity to experience three exciting dives, either along reef slopes or walls. Snorkeling is also fantastic in these vibrant and thriving reef environments. After your underwater explorations, the yacht sets sail overnight in a southern direction towards Suanggi Island.

Day 3: Suanggi Island – Banda Neira

Early morning arrival at Suanggi Island, a site where we may have a chance to see hammerhead sharks. Today’s agenda includes three dives along walls and pinnacles. We then make our way to Banda Neira, aiming to arrive at this stunning island just as the sun sets. You spend the night in the serene bay of Banda Neira.

Day 4 & Day 5: The Banda Islands
Dive into the history and rich waters of the Banda Islands

The Banda Islands, clustered around Banda Neira, are rich in history and offer incomparable diving or snorkeling experiences. Over these two days you are immersed in both. You explore the Banda Islands, learning about their rich history with visits to museums and forts. You also dive Banda Neira’s lava flow and Batu Kapal, Hatta Island’s Karang Hata, Tanjung Buton and the Wall, and Rhun Island. These waters are rich with marine life, and you may encounter majestic pelagics such as hammerhead sharks, mobula rays, dogtooth tunas and massive schools of fusiliers. You also see the famous mandarin fish and other fascinating creatures of Banda’s waters.

Day 6: The Banda Islands
Another day to discover the wonders of the Banda Islands

After a day of further exploration around Banda Island, with thrilling dives and snorkeling around Hatta Island, you embark on an overnight sail to the captivating Manuk Island, weather permitting.

Day 7: Manuk Island
Diving in Manuk Island, an uninhabited volcanic island in the midst of the Banda Sea

At dawn, the yacht docks at Manuk Island, a volcanic island that smells of sulphur and from whose slopes steam rises directly into the sea. Underwater, it is a hotspot for sea snakes, dolphins, hammerhead sharks and large schools of barracuda. The lava flows can also be an exciting destination for divers. Our daily program includes three dives or snorkelling trips around the island. If the weather permits, we can spend the night on Manuk Island. Otherwise, the yacht will return to Banda Neira in the late afternoon. In this case we sail overnight and expect to arrive at sunrise.

Day 8: Manuk Island or Banda Neira
Custom dives in Manuk Island or Banda Neira

Today you have the opportunity to explore more of the dive sites around Banda Neira, or you can choose to revisit your favorite dive sites among the islands. If the yacht has anchored overnight in Manuk Island, alternative dives in the area can be suggested. The choice is yours, so you can tailor your underwater adventure to suit your preferences.

Day 9: Suanggi Island
Last dives with hammerheads

Today you have arrived early at Suanggi Island from Banda Neira. This gives you another full day to explore this exceptional dive site and increase your chances of seeing hammerhead sharks. You can enjoy 2 or 3 dives at pinnacles or drop-offs. After dinner the yacht departs for Ambon. Sail overnight.

Day 10: Ambon – Ambon Airport
Last day of the cruise

You sail back to Ambon, arriving around noon. After the farewell, your driver takes you to the Ambon Airport for your onward flight or to your hotel in town.
